First of all, thank you for your interest in my blog. I appreciate you stopping by and hope you find the comments and musings  herein interesting. Please feel free to leave a comment on one of the threads or here if you have any suggestions about this blog and/or the directions it could go.

I believe that creativity is a skill. It can be learned and practiced. This blog is dedicated to looking at ways to exercise creativity in photography.

About me:

I am a professional musician and a photographer.
In the summer of 2004 I had an opportunity to travel to Europe for the first time, specifically for a friend’s wedding. I hadn’t owned a camera for many years, but decided it would be worthwhile to have one with me on that trip. I found the the places I visited to be so beautiful, so interesting… well, I returned home with about 1600 pictures (about 5 of which were any good) and a burgeoning passion for photography.
Since then my passion (and camera and lens collection) has grown, as have my skills and my “eye”. Having said that, I have much more to accomplish, many more lessons to be learned, and I look forward to whatever comes from this blog project and from those who participate with me.
